The last few months have flown by!
I have just completed a 3-month design placement at Baylis & Harding in Redditch. They are one of the foremost international bath and body care companies, renowned for bringing leading fashion trends and licensed properties to the toiletry market. Here I have been able to gain experience in product photography including editing and colour matching for brochures/planograms. Responsibility for the 2010 Mother’s Day and Sale brochures involved making sure all the photos, product codes and data inputted were correct before print. I also worked on their Autumn/Winter 2010 catalogue, which has been shown at Spring Fair 2010. In addition to building up my skill set I had the opportunity to work on a global retail review. I was required to photograph products sent from the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Paris resulting in a large document to present to clients. I also arranged all the products from each retailer in a showroom for workshops. It was fascinating to see the current trends in fashion and gifting from around the world.

While job hunting I have been managing the bar at Four Oak Saints Cricket Club and have even played a bit of cricket too. I have recently completed the ECB Young Leader’s Award with Emergency First Aid which was run by the Prince’s Trust. This was great fun and good exercise. I’ve also moved into a new place with friends. so have been busy sorting and decorating.
